Seit 2006 finden in der Lettrétage ca. 120 öffentliche Literaturveranstaltungen jährlich statt – Lesungen, Workshops, Diskussionsrunden, literarische Performances und Formate dazwischen. Bekannte und unbekannte Autor*innen und Künstler*innen verschiedener Sprachen und Nationalitäten sind hier schon aufgetreten.
Seit 2013 liegt der Programmfokus u.a. auf neuen Wegen der literarischen Präsentation und Live-Produktion: Dazu zählen u.a. die internationalen bzw. transnationalen Literaturfestivals „Soundout!“, „¿Comment!“, „Berlinisi“ und „Syn_Energy“, aber auch das viel beachtete Netzwerkprojekt „CROWD“ und multimediale Projekte wie die Reihe „CON_TEXT“ oder das „Poetry Audio Lab“. Als Ankerinstitution für die freie Literaturszene Berlins stellt die Lettrétage außerdem ihre Räume für Literaturveranstaltungen aller Art zur Verfügung. Zahlreiche freie Veranstalter*innen nutzen unsere Infrastruktur regelmäßig – für Literatur-Workshops, Lesereihen in verschiedenen Sprachen und Buchpräsentationen. The Museum of the World
Christopher Kloeble in conversation with Liska Jacobs

That is why, in the year 1854, he is hired as a translator by the brothers Schlagintweit from Germany who, with the support of Alexander von Humboldt and the East India Company, embark upon the greatest expedition of their time, which takes them across India and the Himalayas. But Bartholomew is also pursuing his own agenda: he wants to establish the first museum of his remarkable, complex native land. And for this, he is willing to risk everything – even his life.
Based on the true story of a huge scientific undertaking by three Bavarian brothers, and brilliantly translated by Rekha Kamath Rajan, Christopher Kloeble’s THE MUSEUM OF THE WORLD is a fantastic adventure that will change the way we see the history of colonialism.
On May 18th The Reader Berlin is thrilled to invite you to the Book launch of THE MUSEUM OF THE WORLD at Lettrétage. Christopher Kloeble will be in conversation with author Liska Jacobs (CATALINA, THE PINK HOTEL) about history, colonialism, and the adventure that it was to write THE MUSEUM OF THE WORLD. The night will open with readings and conversation, followed by an audience Q&A and book signing.
Copies of the book will be available for sale, but they are limited so make sure you get there early to buy one.
(c) Christopher Kloeble Christopher Kloeble is a novelist and scriptwriter. His first novel, AMONGST LONERS, was the winner of the Jürgen Ponto-Stiftung prize for best debut. His third book, ALMOST EVERYTHING VERY FAST, which he is currently adapting as a feature film, was published in English with Graywolf Press (USA) and was nominated for the Dublin Literary Award and the Ingeborg-Bachmann-Preis. He is also the author of THE IMMORTAL SALZ FAMILY and the memoir, HOME MADE IN INDIA.

Erste Schritte - Workshop mit Eva Gößwein
Der Traum vom eigenen Buch – eine Chance für Selbstständige , Freiberufler*innen und Unternehmer*innen?
Sach- oder Fachbuch können Selbstständige ein gutes Stück voranbringen. Dazu sind weder Millionenauflagen nötig, noch muss man profunde schriftstellerische Erfahrungen mitbringen. Allerdings sollte das Buchprojekt wohlüberlegt vorbereitet werden.Der Workshop richtet sich an alle, die mit dem Gedanken spielen, ihre berufliche Expertise in ein Buch einfließen zu lassen. Er gibt einen Überblick, welche Wege zum eigenen Buch führen, welche Chancen ein solches Projekt bietet und welche Fallstricke unterwegs lauern.
© Antje Pahl VGSD-Mitfrau Eva Gößwein ist seit 2014 freie Sachbuch- und Ratgeberlektorin und Ghostwriterin in Berlin. Sie studierte Literaturwissenschaft, Philosophie und Buchwissenschaft in Mainz und absolvierte ein Volontariat im Bereich Lektorat und Audioproduktion beim GABAL Verlag in Offenbach, bevor sie sich selbstständig machte.
VGSD steht für den "Verband der Gründer und Selbstständigen e. V.", eine bundesweite Interessenvertretung für Gründer*innen und Selbstständige. Der VGSD betreibt politische Lobbyarbeit und bietet zahlreiche Informationsangebote.
Die Teilnahmegebühr beträgt 50 Euro für VGSD-Mitglieder und 70 Euro für Nichtmitglieder. Eine Ermäßigung für Studierende, Renter*innen und Arbeitslose ist nach Absprache möglich. Bitte senden Sie dazu eine Mail an: berlin@vgsd.de
