Our December Kilmé evening with Refqa Abu-Remaileh will sadly have to be postponed due to illness. We’re sorry for the change and will announce a new date soon.

Kilmé is a monthly talk series dedicated to Palestinian artists, intellectuals, and academics; a platform to present their work and speak about subjects that are important to them. Kilmé means word in Arabic. The organizers are dedicated to presenting palestinian voices in all of their diversity and creativity, thus contributing to the cultural landscape of Berlin, a city with the largest Palestinian population in Europe.

In the November issue of kilmé talks, Refqa Abu-Remaileh will be the guest. The evening will be moderated by Tyme Khleifi and Michael Barenboim.

Refqa Abu-Remaileh is Associate Professor at Northwestern University in Qatar’s Liberal Arts Program. She specializes in modern Arabic literature, with a focus on Palestinian literary history and cultural production. She is the author of the award-winning digital interactive monograph, Country of Words: A Transnational Atlas for Palestinian Literature, published by Stanford University Press in 2023.
