Reading and Book Launch with Kate McNaughton

Join us for the Berlin launch of “How I Lose You”, a novel by Kate McNaughton, which has just been published in the UK by Doubleday and in France by Les Escales. There will be a reading and Q&A (moderated by fellow author Jessica Miller) before the evening turns to drinks and music. When Eva and Adam fall into bed one Friday night, tired and happy after drinks with friends, they have their whole lives ahead of them. But their story ends on page twelve.

That's no reason to stop reading though, because How I Lose You is a story told both backwards and forwards – taking us from London to Berlin via New York and the Congo, and from the intimacy of Eva and Adam’s relationship to the events shaking the world around them. It’s a story Eva thought she knew – but as you and she will discover, it’s not just the ending that she got wrong.

Kate McNaughton was born and raised in Paris and now lives in Berlin. She read English and European Literature at Cambridge and filmmaking at the European Film College in Denmark. As well as a writer, she is also a documentary filmmaker and translator.
