This closing event celebrates diverse and richly layered identities through works that ask: How can poetry and performance destabilise colonial and patriarchal standard sof beauty, gender, and storytelling? What does it mean to rewrite canonical narratives, such as Venus in Furs, from trans perspectives while blurring the boundaries between author, character,and reader? What are the benefits, but also the risks, of coming out, and what old barriers and new challenges emerge in the process? How can comedy and joyful expression serve as powerful forms of knowledge-sharing, psychosocial education, and linguistic innovation? And how can intersections of gender, geography, and identity contribute to more democratic visions of the future?
Featuring Ana Wetherall-Grujić, Yohan Holtkamp, Laura Rosell, and ariel rosé. Moderated by Mary Katharine Tramontana.

Yohan Holtkamp
Yohan Holtkamp is a poet and performance artist. His texts have been published in several anthologies and magazines, including the Jahrbuch der Lyrik (annual poetry collection). He's shown performances at Trans*Poetica Festival, the auftakt Festival and at numerous art galleries. In 2025, he was a writer in residency at the Centre for Literature and a guest lecturer at the Münster Academy of Fine Arts.
ariel rosé
ariel rosé (he/they/them) – poet, essayist, author of the books morze nocą jest mięśniem serca, PIW 2022 (the sea at night is a muscle of the heart) and Północ Przypowieści, Znak 2019 (North: Parables). ariel has published poems and essays in journals in the US and in Europe. Member of PEN Berlin. ariel has two books forthcoming: Ukraine–A Polyphony and ways of swimming / schwimmend (edition.fotoTAPETA 2026). rosé is also co-editor of Both Sides Face East/Durable Words (Academic Studies Press, 2025) and co-translator of an anthology of poems in Norwegian HOF 2026. transgender, nomad & a swimmer.
Laura Rosell
Laura Rosell, from the USA, writes about meaning and connection. Centering relationships and emotion in her work, she sees these as not just matters of public health, but the very foundation of a harmonious society. Laura’s motto is: “The revolution will be soft.” Writing to educate, empower, and heal, she draws from personal experience alongside a background in social sciences research and mental health services. However, a lifelong mystic bent inspires Laura’s most creative projects, wherein she explores thetranscendent arc of humanity’s healing.
Ana Wetherall-Grujić
Ana Wetherall-Grujić was born in Yugoslavia and grew up in Tyrol. She worked as a journalist for many years and reported on equal opportunities, feminism and pop culture in the column "Prominenter Platz" of the Austrian daily newspaper DER STANDARD. Her debut novel Blutsschwestern was nominated for the Rauris Literature Days Prize and won the Glauser Prize for its debut in 2025.
