The dream ship

What do writers actually dream of? This reading series is dedicated to this question — literally. Authors read from their personal dream diaries, dreams made of text and provide insights into the most intimate abysses and messages of their — and the collective — subconscious mind. Maik Gerecke will be moderating.
Hanno Harzbecker
Hanno Harzbecker was born somewhere in Lower Saxony in 1981 and lives as a freelance author, musician and organizer in Berlin. After successfully dropping out of mathematics, philosophy and law courses one after the other, he worked as a snack chef, music editor and club operator. He finally ended up in the advertising industry with a bachelor's degree in cultural and media management. As a lyricist and drummer, Hanno Harzbecker is active in various music projects, runs a literary stage that is part of the Independent Reading Series e.V., and has founded an office for literary professionals in Kreuzberg together with author Christian Dittloff. As an author, he is under contract with the agency Gäb & Eggers.
Isobel Marcus

Isobel Markus studied library science and English and lives as a freelance author in Berlin. She writes novels, short stories and literary miniatures for the taz “Berlin Scenes” column. Her short stories have been published in literary magazines and anthologies, have been published as a two-part book series under the title “City of Unusual Illuminated Letters” and partly translated into Arabic (translator: Swar Malla).
At Lettrétage Berlin, she initiated and curated the interdisciplinary Berliner Salonage event series, which was supported by the Senate Department for Culture and Europe in 2022 and 2023.
Rick Palm
Rick Palm (under 30) collects mini keyboards, raps about dreary bureaucracy, studies philosophy and sociolinguistics at Freie Universität Berlin and has no other capitalistically valuable interests. His day job as a freelance illustrator and lecturer as well as his passion for co-organizing and moderating literary events (independent scene!) are obvious. Of course, he also co-hosts a podcast, which is of course currently on hold. He writes poetry and short prose. Rick has so far been able to successfully protect himself from awards and publishing publications through lack of commitment.
Rick is familiar with dreams because he has them. He loves the sound of them popping.
