Seit 2006 finden in der Lettrétage ca. 120 öffentliche Literaturveranstaltungen jährlich statt – Lesungen, Workshops, Diskussionsrunden, literarische Performances und Formate dazwischen. Bekannte und unbekannte Autor*innen und Künstler*innen verschiedener Sprachen und Nationalitäten sind hier schon aufgetreten.

Seit 2013 liegt der Programmfokus u.a. auf neuen Wegen der literarischen Präsentation und Live-Produktion: Dazu zählen u.a. die internationalen bzw. transnationalen Literaturfestivals „Soundout!“, „¿Comment!“, „Berlinisi“ und „Syn_Energy“, aber auch das viel beachtete Netzwerkprojekt „CROWD“ und multimediale Projekte wie die Reihe „CON_TEXT“ oder das „Poetry Audio Lab“. Als Ankerinstitution für die freie Literaturszene Berlins stellt die Lettrétage außerdem ihre Räume für Literaturveranstaltungen aller Art zur Verfügung. Zahlreiche freie Veranstalter*innen nutzen unsere Infrastruktur regelmäßig – für Literatur-Workshops, Lesereihen in verschiedenen Sprachen und Buchpräsentationen.     The Word Electric #1

    Lesereihe für digitale Literatur mit Kathrin Passig, Esther Seyffarth und Jörg Piringer

    Die Welt ist digital, die Literatur kann es noch werden. "The Word Electric" ist eine neue Lesereihe für digitale Literatur. Ob auf Papier gedruckt oder per Bot in die Welt getweetet: Literatur, die zu ihrer Herstellung wesentlich Computer verwendet und algorithmisch dichtet, ist im deutschsprachigen Raum noch wenig bekannt, dabei ist die Szene eine sehr lebendige. "The Word Electric" stellt sie vor.

    Bei "The Word Electric #1" lesen: Kathrin Passig, Esther Seyffarth und Jörg Piringer. Im anschließenden "Open Projector" steht allen, die möchten, 5 Minuten Zeit zur Verfügung, eigene Digitalproduktionen auf dem Beamer vorzustellen.

    Kathrin Passig lebt in Berlin von Sachbüchern, Essays, Vorträgen und ihrem automatischen T-Shirt-Generator zufallsshirt.de, aus dem auch das Material für ihr Kunstprojekt “Poetry Blackout” stammt.

    Esther Seyffarth ist Computerlinguistin und Autorin von über 30 Twitter- und Mastodon-Bots. Ihr Lebensziel ist es, die natürliche Sprache durchzuspielen. Da sie bisher nur bis Level 27 gekommen ist, hat sie noch einiges vor sich.

    Jörg Piringer, geboren 1974, lebt in Wien. Er ist Mitglied des Instituts für transakustische Forschung und des Gemüseorchesters. Er arbeitet in den Lücken zwischen Sprachkunst, Musik, Performance und poetischer Software.

    The project Soul and the City is thrilled to continue with their "Love, Sweat and Laughter" series of events, which allow an outlet for different types of arts to manifest, intertwine and grow together with the purpose of creating a culturally diverse tapestry of thought-provoking expressions, up-close emotions and in-depth gestures, leaving positive imprints of social engagement and political awareness.

    Some of Berlin's coolest artists will gather together to present their witty performances in an enjoyable, friendly and slammin' atmosphere refilled with love, sweat and laughter, the right impetus for the entire night.

    Performing artists from: France, USA, UK, The Netherlands, South Africa, Bulgaria, Germany, Romania, Italy, Brazil and more.

    This is a multi-gender, multi-ethnic and multi-cultural event meant to bring joy and good times. No sexist, racist, bigoted, discriminatory, xenophobic or homophobic language will be tolerated.
