Seit 2006 finden in der Lettrétage ca. 120 öffentliche Literaturveranstaltungen jährlich statt – Lesungen, Workshops, Diskussionsrunden, literarische Performances und Formate dazwischen. Bekannte und unbekannte Autor*innen und Künstler*innen verschiedener Sprachen und Nationalitäten sind hier schon aufgetreten.
Seit 2013 liegt der Programmfokus u.a. auf neuen Wegen der literarischen Präsentation und Live-Produktion: Dazu zählen u.a. die internationalen bzw. transnationalen Literaturfestivals „Soundout!“, „¿Comment!“, „Berlinisi“ und „Syn_Energy“, aber auch das viel beachtete Netzwerkprojekt „CROWD“ und multimediale Projekte wie die Reihe „CON_TEXT“ oder das „Poetry Audio Lab“. Als Ankerinstitution für die freie Literaturszene Berlins stellt die Lettrétage außerdem ihre Räume für Literaturveranstaltungen aller Art zur Verfügung. Zahlreiche freie Veranstalter*innen nutzen unsere Infrastruktur regelmäßig – für Literatur-Workshops, Lesereihen in verschiedenen Sprachen und Buchpräsentationen. Identity and Cultural Dialogue reframed through the lens of film
Independent storytelling is an act of courage. It challenges norms, reclaims voices, and builds bridges between cultures. We invite you to join us for the upcoming Ibn Rushd Young event with the filmmakers Klud Dabash and Mehmet Küçük. With the boundary-pushing narratives of their films, they explore the complexities of identity, power, migration and creative resistance.

• Tabu – A young actress is invited to a “rehearsal” that turns into a confrontation with abuse. A reflection on consent, agency, and saying no.
• Her Whisper – A refugee and her smuggler are caught in a delicate balance between love and survival. What does it truly mean to be free?By Klud & Mehmet:
• Café Yasmin – A Syrian influencer and a Ukrainian singer clash over their experiences in Germany. Through confrontation, a deeper understanding begins to emerge.By Mehmet:
• Baba Tapes – A man reflects on a dream left behind and the weight of generational silence. A look at a father-son relationships and unrealized aspirations.
• Spielkinder 2 – Heinz refuses to share his ball—yet it’s his only way to connect. A metaphor for privilege, inclusion, and the unspoken dynamics of majority and minority.These particular films have been finished, but storytelling is always a work in progress, often with many attempts at telling the same story. Some stories, however, remain unheard, despite the multiple attempts at telling them. Where does the power of storytelling lie today, and how is it connected to creative independence? These are just examples of questions that the two independent filmmakers are ready to discuss with their audience.
© Klud Dabash Klud Dabash is an award-winning screenwriter and filmmaker whose storytelling is shaped by a rich global journey across cultures—from Syria to Los Angeles, Latin America, India, Southeast Asia, and Berlin. Her screenplay Her Whisper won Best Feature Script at the LIFF Film Festival. She studied screenwriting in Los Angeles and India, and completed professional filmmaking training at MetFilm School in Berlin.
Her work explores the complexities of human experience through both literary and visual mediums.
Mehmet Küçük is a Berlin-based filmmaker whose work spans directing, editing, and live broadcasting. He has collaborated on projects like Telegram (dir. Sebastian Arnold), Neulich – #machdoch, and Annes Geschichte.As cinematographer/editor, he contributed to Adam Goodwin and Gedenkstätte Berliner Mauer goes Türkçe!. His artistic roots lie in theater and radio, including Ruhe 1, Schizo!, and Was ich war flog auf (2024–2025). Currently a Feed Producer at Thomson Reuters Germany, Mehmet brings over a decade of technical and editorial expertise. Küçük blends academic training in History and Communications with a passion for visual storytelling and education.

Selbstfürsorgliches Schreiben
Workshop mit Rainer Stolz
Dieser Tagesworkshop dient dem Kennenlernen verschiedener Wege und Methoden schreibender Selbstzuwendung, Selbstklärung und Selbstbegleitung – um sich sowohl im Alltag als auch in besonderen Situationen schreibend zu unterstützen und die Freundschaft mit sich selbst zu pflegen.
In Übungen und Schreibprozessen werden z. B. folgende Themengebiete erkundet:
· Schreiben als sinnlich-leibliche Tätigkeit
· schreibende Wertschätzung unserer Lebendigkeit
· „Wortschatzbildung“ (Wie spreche ich mit mir selbst? Wie kleide ich mich und mein Leben in Sprache? Welche Worte und Wendungen ziehe ich mir an? In welchen Bildern und Metaphern bewege ich mich?)
· Möglichkeiten des konstruktiven, integrativen Selbstgesprächs
· Selbstfürsorgliches Notieren und Journalführen
Dieser Workshop möchte dazu anregen, Schreiben als Lebenselixier zu erfahren, sich ebenso mit der Feinheit wie mit der Kraft der Sprache zu verbinden, zu erforschen, wie Worte und Sprachbilder sowohl erden als auch beflügeln können – und dabei Neugier, Experimentierfreude und Humor walten zu lassen.
