Parallel/Play — Word/Play Between the Word and the Note

Riikka holds a BA in Fine Arts, where she studied printmaking and photography. Alongside her visual practice, she has always been drawn to music - studying singing and piano, collaborating with musicians, and working in theatre. Her creative world has always moved fluidly between disciplines.

As an artist and curator, she has initiated and developed several collaborative projects grounded in dialogue, experimentation, and live exchange. She is particularly drawn to the energy of live encounters, creating spaces where preparation leaves room for spontaneity - moments where something unexpected and unrepeatable can happen between artists in real time.

Questions of transformation and shifting perception run through both her artistic and curatorial work.

Lavia Lin (she/her) is a Shanghai-born, Berlin-based abstract painter and live painting performer — and co-curator of Parallel/Play. She translates emotion and imagination from music into vibrant colour and rhythmic lines, in what she calls a visual recording of music.

Demi Anter is an Austrian-American writer, performer, and facilitator. She has appeared at Glastonbury, Poetry Ireland, and the Scottish Storytelling Centre, with work published in The Times (UK) and literary magazines across the US and Europe. Her debut collection Small Machine was shortlisted for the 2022 Poetry Book Awards. She teaches creative writing for the Royal National Theatre and is the creator of "Writing Berlin" and the "Tempelhof Write-In" — a workshop series to protect Tempelhofer Feld from development.

Raised on the weather-beaten border of Northern Ireland but now based in Berlin, Mark Loughrey twists & weaves Irish folk traditions with ambient textures, field recordings, and lyrics that feel like pages torn from a dream journal— earthy yet ethereal.

Luca Bentley (he/they) is an artist, creative workshop organiser and art teacher based in Berlin. A background in Illustration and Animation, he co-runs Queer Trans* Life Drawing Berlin, Clay Jam, and works as an artist with Social Muscle Club, Gelbe Villa and is part of 90Mil Ceramics Community. Luca often works collaboratively, focuses on the importance of curiosity and play, and aims at building a welcoming space to learn and explore creative practices.

The concept is ''Music at an Art Museum. ''

She creates an improvised Ambient soundscape based on the theme of exhibitions, moods and the breathing of people in the auditorium.

Her soundscapes lead you to think more deeply about the art than silence.

Emilian (They/Them) is a writer, a performer, a workshop facilitator and a sex worker. They give workshops on consent and on conflict transformation, co-wrote the zine "So You're Dating a S*x Worker" and recently got their first philosophy paper published (link in their bio). Nowadays, they're writing a book about love and empathy as practical and grounded tools for a better world. They have been writing poetry since they were 11 years old, playing with words to describe their many adventures.
