    Online reading and discussion with Rainer Zimmer-Winkel and Mati Shemoelof

    On the 18.2.2021 20:00 AphorismA Verlag will celebrate the publication of the Kleine Texte: "Bleiben oder widerstehen: Wem gehört die deutsche Kultur und andere Texte und Gedichte" with a reading and a discussion between Mr. Rainer Zimmer Winkel, chief editor of Aphorisma Verlag, Mati Shemoelof, a poet and author. Language will be both German and English.

    Mati Shemoelof was born in 1972. He lives in Berlin for the last decade. He is a poet, editor, and a writer. He graduated with honors from the University of Haifa where he studied Film and History. He has published nine books so far. His first publication in Germany was a bilingual edition of his poems "Baghdad | Haifa | Berlin'' [AphorismA Verlag, 2019]. His latest publication is “Bleiben oder widerstehen: Wem gehört die deutsche Kultur und andere Texte und Gedichte“ (AphorismA Verlag, 2020). His first article book “An eruption from the east: Re visiting the emergence of the Mizrahi artistic explosion and it's imprint on the Israeli cultural narrative 2006-2020“ was published on “Iton 77” publishers in Israel (2020). He writes a column for Plus 61J magazine and other magazines. He works in literary editing, and media. Married and lives in Berlin and is the father of a girl. His artistic site: https://mati-s.com 

    Rainer Zimmer-Winkel, was born in 1963, studied Catholic theology and political science, publicist. Since the mid-1980s he has been involved in the area of Germany-Israel-Palestine as well as in the interrelegious dialogue of the monotheistic religions (Judaism-Christianity-Islam). He worked several years in Jerusalem, today he is a publisher (AphorismA Verlag) in Berlin.
